Igår kveld hadde vi besøk av Ferd & Valentina, et herlig eldre kanadisk/tsjekkisk ektepar som bodde i Stavanger for 17 år siden. Vi mimret om tiden de var her og om alle de tilsynelatende tilfeldige koblingene vi opplever til stadighet. De kunne blant annet fortelle at de fremdeles har kontakt med Brent og Carolee Weber som bodde her samtidig som dem, og som nå bor i Lagos, Nigeria. Og at Carolee skriver en fantastisk blogg som heter ‘Looking for good in Lagos’. De har bodd der siden slutten av 2006, og hun har over 170 innlegg! Fantastiske bilder, videosnutter og stemningsrapporter fra mitt fødeland som jeg drømmer om å få besøke en gang igjen! Utrolig inspirerende!

I don't know how much longer we'll be in Lagos, maybe just till the end of the year, or possibly into next year. But if you can manage a trip before too long, we'd love to host you and show you around. Lagos is a tough place to visit because of security situations, but it's more doable with someone living there. My email is caroleew (at) byu (dot) net. Do you remember much about Nigeria? You must have been pretty young when you left. Did you find the entries on my blog from Kano? We had a wonderful trip there to see the Durbar. I bet your grandfather knew our guide for that trip because she was a Belgian woman who lived in Kano for years and years. I would imagine their paths crossed anyway. There weren't that many expats there. Anyway, it's fun to hear from you and I hope life in Norway is going well! Carolee
